For the second year in a row, Startups.be will be handing out awards to startups that had a remarkable track record last year. Our jury proposes a shortlist in four categories, and it’s up to you, the Belgian startup community, to decide about the winners!
Those winners will be announced during the Tech Startup Day on March 9, at The Egg in Brussels. Voting is open until March 6 at noon!
After much deliberation, our professional jury - composed of Omar Mohout (Sirris), Béatrice De Mahieu (Virtuology Academy), Simon Alexandre (The Faktory), Wim De Preter (De Tijd) and Frank Maene (Volta Ventures) - proposed a shortlist in four categories. They retained five startups in each category.
"We organize these awards to celebrate our Belgian tech talent", explains Karen Boers, Managing Director of Startups.be. "We Belgians are often very modest about our achievements. Instead, we should be proud of our 'homegrown talent."
Of course, there are some very interesting prizes to win. Among them a free seat on one of our top notch international GoGlobal missions, flex desks for one year at Co.Station (Brussels or Ghent), coaching sessions by the jury, a free hosting offer courtesy of Combell, a 6 months’ seat at the Belcham offices in New York (Pulse Foundation), and many more.
