The local startup scene is still on fire!

After three companies received generous funding, the #BeTech ecosystem reaches yet another high spot: Microsoft is reportedly acquiring Sunrise, a smart calendar app co-founded by the Belgian Jeremy Le Van. Accordingly to the news website Tech Crunch, Microsoft has bought the startup for at least $100 million.

Currently available on Android, iPhone, iPad & Web, Sunrise was set up in 2012 and since then has raised US 8.2 million. It's considered one of the most powerful tools in the market due to its cross-platform approach: Sunrise enables users to access Google Calendar, Microsoft Exchange and iCloud. Besides, it features weather and location functionalities. And last but not least, it's rocking a beautiful and user-friendly design!
