From August 5th to 9th, a handpicked batch of game studios from Belgium will hit Gamescom, Cologne.

Gamescom, one of the largest European trade fairs for interactive games, will be the ideal scenario to spread the word about the Belgian gaming industry.

As many other companies joining international events as part of our Go Global programs, these startups received training, full briefing on the conference and hacks to make the most out of their presence at Gamescom.

Meet the twelve chosen ones

Abrakam is a video game studio founded in July 2013 that focuses on developing and marketing Faëria as well as its derived products. Faëria is a high-quality fast paced collectible card game. 

Crazy Monkey Studios is a privately held company located in Kontich, Belgium that was established in 2011. We are a small team with several years of experience. We create games for different platforms such as PC, Xbox One and PS4. We create games based on our own ideas as well as from existing game designs or licenses. 

Daestudios NV is a young, creative and energetic company that offers cutting edge 3D services to a broad range of customers, focusing on gamification and interactive visualisations. 

eXiin is a company founded by two creatives who decided to join forces and create games together. Our approach to making games is different, we mix fun and serious games with intelligent concepts, focused on user experience. 

Fishing Cactus creates compelling and high-quality games, Serious Games and Advergames at the cutting edge of technology, tailored towards digital distribution platforms. such as iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox Live, PSN, Nintendo Wii, 3DS and Kinect technologies. It also creates games from both original ideas as well as from existing game designs or licenses. 

Haunted tie: Two crazy Belgian brains controlled by a haunted tie from outa space… and we make games. We develop easy to learn, hard to master games. Come taste the eccentric universes we create! The first Haunted Tie commercial game is Domiverse: a multiplayer arena, one hit “Nooo” game, where aliens with unique skills fight for the domination of the universe. 

Mode4 is a two-man independent game development studio. Mode4 is hard at work on its first original PC game Bombslinger, a Spaghetti Western action game with bombs. Mode4 also hosts Brotaru, the #gamedev meetup that gets together many Belgian game developers for a casual game demos and drinks! 

Pipette Inc. is a new indie game studio. Our games focus on stories filled with hard choices and their dire consequences, such as To The Sky, our first project. 

PreviewLabs is specialized in Rapid Prototyping for games. Our prototypes help established companies, as well, as startups test, improve and pitch game ideas. We're a team of programmers with a passion for game design and developed over 150 prototype iterations, across 60 concepts, for various companies. 

Pyralis Studio is the Belgium indie studio creating TheCorp: an economy simulation game featuring the technological evolution of humanity from a distant past to a far future Sileni Studios is an independent game developer founded in January 2012. It is currently working on Mayan Death Robots, which is slated to be released Q4 2015. Mayan Death Robots reinvents the artillery genre in a Mayan setting invaded by alien killing machines 

White Laser Games is a Belgian publisher currently working on its flagship IP: Thormaë, a universe declined in a browser role-playing game, a fantasy novel and a board game.
