The digital solutions specialist UnifiedPost has acquired the Belgian Dropbox-competitor Nomadesk. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The information was recently published in the business update 'First nine months of the 2016/2017 financial year' by Gimv. The European investment company explains that, earlier this month, Nomadesk was sold to an industrial player. De Tijd found out that the takeover was organized by UnifiedPost.

Nomadesk is a SaaS company that was founded in 2004, and that focusses on file sharing & synchronization software for businesses. It offers an alternative to ‘over-the-top’-services such as OneDrive, Box and Dropbox. In 2012, the company was included in the Red Herring Top 100 Global Short List.

UnifiedPost is a Belgian provider of integrated business process optimization solutions, including complete document delivery and processing solutions, complemented by payment, financial supply chain, credit management and secure e-identity solutions.

Last year, the company successfully closed a €10M investment round led by existing shareholders PE Group, SmartFin Capital, and Cytiholding, as well as Fortino Capital. In 2015, it completed the acquisition of ZET solutions BV with offices in Lelystad, the Netherlands.
