The new funding is encouraging commercialization of the Ghent-based startup in the European and US markets.
Founded in 2014, Proceedix is a game-changing platform enabling the digital transformation of work flows, work instructions and inspection processes with mobile and wearable technology. Its clients are large industrial manufacturers.
According to Peter Verstraeten, CEO of Proceedix, 95% of operational tasks and checklists in industrial companies are still done in a rather non-value added manner - on paper. The startup’s goal is to change it by mobilizing people and enabling them to handle even their most complex processes away from their desks. So they can improve safety and strengthen lean operations within the companies.
The new funding of €2M that comes from the Innovation Fund, Saffelberg Investments and Pentacon will help to scale up its enterprise platform and accelerate its commercialization in the European and US markets.
The startup has been already paving the road to conquering the new markets.
Proceedix has offices in the Ghelamco arena and San Francisco. Also, at this year's Augmented World Expo, the company was nominated in category Best app and announced a partnership with Iristick, a producer of smart safety glasses for enterprise.
Talking about the new investment, ambitions and the future, Peter Verstraeten, CEO of Proceedix claims, "Today, companies using Proceedix in their production facilities are demonstrating that digital work instructions on tablets, phones or smart glasses make operators smarter, safer and more efficient. The investment of the initial founders combined with funding by renowned partners with deep industry expertise should put us in pole position as the digital platform for the smart operator in an Industry 4.0 future.”
