sCool (by The LearnScape) was crowned the most popular initiative among all 78 companies funded by CreatiFI. This startup works on an educational method and practice platform for media literacy and digital social responsibility in primary education. The goal is to bring media literacy and social integration into the primary school curriculum; enable innovation in learning; and integrate existing digital solutions. sCool teaches children in primary schools digital social responsibility from an early age by providing a free educational method, together with an online environment exclusive for young people that actively promotes understanding, safety and a culture free from cyber-bullying.
Katja Schipperheijn, CEO of The Learnscape – sCool: “We are very happy with this recognition. It shows that we’re on the right track, to help shape the future of education. This is a disruptive time for learning and development: online content, collaboration tools, and social media now fuel a learning model where learners are empowered to take ownership of their own development.”
In the same ceremony, the Italian startup GIPStech was named the most creative company while the Vienna-based BLITAB was recognised as the best business model.
