A first-rate delegation will take part in NYC’s main conference and tradeshow. Startups.be is once more taking the lead and spreading the word about the talent made in Belgium.

The tech entrepreneurial scene is blossoming in Belgium with lots of ground-breaking hubs. With the aim to help and boost local entrepreneurs so they can take their business to an international level, Startups.be has selected seven startups to display their services in the upcoming Northside Festival on June 11th & 12th.

The Startups.be booth will be the perfect scenario for the Belgian squad to promote their innovative services. In addition, attendees will have the chance to keep an eye on these startups during the pitching sessions on June 11th from 2 PM in the Wythe Screening Room.


Which are the startups to watch out for?

Described by its own CEO Bart Van der Roost as an “iTunes for sheet music”, neoScores is one of the cutting-edge startups in Belgium. This web app enables content owners to sell digital sheet music. On the other hand, users can buy and use digital sheet music in a simple and secure way. NeoScores is lovingly made by and for musicians and can be used both online and offline. Moreover, it is device independent, a handy feature when it comes providing musicians with flexibility and ease of use.

Broke Bikes puts the old-fashioned bicycle industry on notice again with its fresh views on what the experience of choosing, buying and using a bicycle should be. The Antwerp-headquartered startup sells beautiful minimalist-design bikes directly to the consumer thanks to a built-to-order model. Users design their own bikes and then sit back and relax since Broke takes care of building the vehicle and shipping it to the customer. Furthermore, this company is working on an innovative project that promises to make it almost impossible to steal a Broke Bike and get away with it.

Ghent-based startup MediaHaven is the SaaS media asset management platform for any organization that wants to professionally manage and distribute its audio-visual material for marketing, training, and external and internal communication. The user interface is designed to support novice as well as expert users in managing their media content.

NewsAnglr is the smart way to gather information. When it comes to content handling, this technology introduces a twist: with only one click, the user can research an article among millions and millions of others, which leads to an overview of suggested pieces of information and a list of all the major topics related to it.

Founded in 2012, Seaters will also look for potential business partnerships in the US. Even at sold-out sports and music events, between 1% and 10% of seats remain empty. In order to offer a creative solution, Seaters disrupts the market of ticketing sales by generating a first minute qualified demand for a last minute problem of available seats rather than being one more push of tickets on the market.

Telltree is going to be an online publishing platform that helps parents tell engaging stories to their children, and offers a new and exciting way for artists and authors to publish. Finally, Maurice Coffee & Knits combines its founder Véronique Leysen passion for coffee and fashion always aiming to highlight a personal approach, cosiness, high quality and uniqueness.
