Great news for the #BeTech ecosystem! This week, Sparkcentral, Sign2Pay and Sentiance (formerly known as Argus Lab) rose some substantial sums of money in their respective investment rounds.

Sparkcentral scored US$12 million in a Series B funding round led by Split Rock Partners with participation from existing investor Sigma West. As part of the funding agreement,Split Rock also got a board seat in the company. This Belgian Startup, whose CEO and cofounder is Davy Kestens, is a market-leading social media customer engagement platform.

In an era of empowered, hyperconnected customers, Sparkcentral is the only CRM platform for enterprises that unifies social, mobile, cloud and contextual data to proactively deliver personalized and engaging customer experiences. Customer service teams use our software to efficiently handle large amounts of customer inquiries in a fast and structured manner.

On the other hand, the flemish startup Sign2Pay announced that got €605.000 in its first round of investment. This angel- round had Arco van Nieuwland , founder of Exact Software and Lucas Brentjens , former CEO Exact Software, as investors. Fintech startup Sign2Pay enablesonline sellers to confirm transactions with costumers through a digital signature on a device such as a smartphone or tablet. The payment amount is then deducted from this account. Sign2Pay was founded by entrepreneurs Nicolas Mertens, Nick Lloyd and Tom Schouteden, who are planning to conquer French, German and Dutch market later this year.

Finally, Argus Labs rose US$ 2M and rebranded itself as Sentiance, as the company decided to move out of concept development in order to roll out its platform to clients and partners worldwide. Sentiance closed the US$ 2M round, led by Qbic and joined by Volta Ventures, with participation from angel investors Michel Akkermans (Clear2Pay) and Will Margiloff (IgnitionOne).

Due to this significant growth and major overhaul, Sentiance also broadened its management team with Toon Vanparys as CEO and Frank Verbist as CTO, who both joined in October last year. Toon and Frank joined the company as early seed investors, after having sold their previous venture Netmining (now IgnitionOne) to Dentsu plc. They bring an extensive background in the profiling, customer engagement and personalization industry, and years of leading technical experience, including the development of high-transaction platforms in the advertising and targeting industry.
