Failing, flopping, falling short: entrepreneurs experience their big and small moments of failure. As entrepreneurship is all about failing and getting back on your feet - in order to start again and do it even better!

But is the fear of failure more present in women? Do women think they are less capable of running a business than men? Do women fail less often?

Come and listen to three female entrepreneurs who have experienced it all. They will talk honestly about the obstacles and unexpected stumbling blocs, how they dealt with this, and how failure influenced their learning curve.

JJ House, Reyndersstraat 6, 2000 Antwerp.

PROGRAM

19:00 - Welcome & registration

19:30 - Cathy Camertijn + Q&A

After her entrepreneurial dream collapsed, Cathy has been searching for quite some time to find her new entrepreneurial challenge. Now, she is back on her feet and shares her experience(s) and tells us how she has grown into a stronger and more confident entrepreneur. Her current business, Lessnow, has been built around her passions. She is also author of the book "De vis ontrafeld".

19:50 - Ruth Janssens + Q&A

Ruth’s project, Small Teaser, a platform for creating and distributing digital magazines, has won many prizes. In 2017, she raised fresh capital from several investors. However, things went wrong when her twin brother and co-founder left. Ruth looks back with gratitude at what she has learned during this adventure. She also sees the future positively again.

20:10 - Véronique Leysen + Q&A

Doing nothing is not in the vocabulary of Véronique Leysen. The former VRT actress and author of some books decided last year -with pain in their heart- to leave Bar Maurice. It became impossible to combine this venture with her knitwear label "Maurice Knitwear" and new project "Maman". Doing business is also about making choices ...
